Shelby American, a subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc., recently announced that it will introduce the Signature Edition Super Snake for the 2007-2014 Ford Shelby GT500s. The limited edition car will only be available in 50 units paying homage to the end of production to the current generation Ford Shelby GT500. It will feature upgrades such as a unique exterior finish, a trimmed up interior, and an uprated engine and cooling system.
Outside, the car can be had in every available color Ford currently has while a set of body stripes can also be painted in any color the client desires. A set of Weld Shelby wheels completes the exterior demeanor of the Signature Edition Super Snake.
Inside, a commemorative badge with Carroll Shelby’s signature is placed on the airbag cover, along with a set of Signature Edition floor mats.
Under the hood, the 5.8-liter V8 has been fitted with a Kenne Bell supercharger that allows the engine to produce 862 PS. Helping the car dissipate heat better is a new cooling system from Shelby Performance that consists of a new radiator, heat exchanger and aluminum cooling tanks.

With production of the current generation GT500 ending, we wanted to commemorate the sunset of an important era. This Shelby truly changed the automotive landscape and inspired the performance competition that continues today. It’s a car worthy of being honored with a very special limited edition Shelby. The package can only be ordered available for a limited time, so ownership puts a person in a very elite club,” said Joe Conway, Co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International and CEO of Shelby American.
The Signature Edition Super Snake package costs USD 44,995 (about PHP 2 million), excluding the car and will only be limited to 50 units.
