Petty’s Garage unveils limited-run Mustang GT King Edition

After auctioning off a bespoke Mustang for charity last September, Petty’s Garage recently took the wraps off of the Ford Mustang GT King Edition. Limited to only 300 units, the special edition Mustang features a unique exterior finish and a modified powertrain that cranks out nearly 680 PS.

Using the 5.0-liter V8 as a platform, it has a two-tone paint finish that is a contrast between black and aqua blue. It gets a new front bumper, 20-inch HRE wheels wrapped in Continental Extreme Performance tires, rear diffuser and center-mounted exhausts.

Inside, it has embroidered headrests, special floor mats, a numbered plaque distinct to each car and an aftermarket shift knob. The King Premier Edition further spruces up the cabin with a tri-color stripe package, unique leather interior and a high-performance braking system.

Under the hood, the 5.0-liter V8 now produces 678 PS thanks to an array of upgrades like a supercharger, upgraded ECU, cold air intake and a Magnaflow exhaust. An even more powerful version of the King Edition can be had with a beefier supercharger which ups the power to 737 PS.

Other mechanical upgrades applied to the car include: adjustable sway bars, revised rear axle and Ford Performance TrakPak halfshafts.

As previously stated, Petty’s Garage will only make 300 examples of the car: 243 King Editions, 43 King Premiers and 14 King Premier Convertibles. The King Editions will start at $67,495 (about PhP 3.14 million) while the King Premiers will have an initial price of $90,495 (about PhP 4.21 million).
