Nissan’s full-size, body-on-frame SUV has just received the NISMO treatment after the company revealed the special edition Patrol in the United Arab Emirates. Launched by the company to celebrate the arrival of the NISMO performance brand in the Middle East, the new Patrol features a more powerful V8 motor along with a new bodykit and interior trim.
It has new front and rear bumpers along with side skirts that bear the signature red NISMO stripe. Rounding off the exterior equipment is a set of 22-inch forged alloy wheels from RAYS, black side mirror caps, NISMO badging and dual exhausts.
Aboard the Patrol, it has a white-black cabin theme that is contrasted by red stripes, wood finish on the center console and other metallic inserts. It also has a black leather steering wheel with exposed red stitching and a NISMO tachometer.
Powering the special edition Patrol is a modified VK56VD 5.6-liter V8 direct inject VVEL engine that now produces 433 PS (405 PS standard). Torque rating was not revealed though the stock V8 puts out 560 Nm. Handling has been improved as well after Nissan fitted the Patrol with a more responsive steering system along with new performance-spec Bilstein shock absorbers.
