Nissan recently started off a series of events that reveres the 30th anniversary of NISMO, the company’s tuning division.
The event started out with a party within the NISMO headquarters located in Yokohama, to honor the people that played a major role in NISMO as well as looking back to previous NISMO projects that made the company famous. The event then moves to Austin, Texas, USA at the Circuit of the Americas where they will hold a press conference on September 18, 2014 at 6:45pm.
On September 20, 2014, Nissan will take part in the FIA World Endurance Championship at the Circuit of the Americas where the Japanese automaker’s LM P2 cars will compete. September 21, 2014 will see them at Germany where the NISMO Athletes will contend the final round of the Blancpain Endurance Series in Nurburgring. Nissan hopes to finish in a happy note in the Pro-Am class.
The ‘NISMO Nurburgring Experience’ will be the final event of Nissan and will run from September 22-23, 2014. It will be a track day event where Nissan/NISMO customers can grasp and master the Nordschleife. Customers that join the event will also get a peek of the future of NISMO road cars.
