German-based tuning company Maxi Tuner shows off their new customization package for the new 2014 Mini Cooper S.
A set of 18-inch Schmidt Shift rims and tires wrapped in 215/35R18 Goodyear Tires is a start and lowering springs courtesy of H&R will simultaneously give the Mini Cooper S more handling prowess and a better looking stance.
The centerpiece of the customization is a tuned ECU that boosts power of the 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine from 192PS to 220PS. Torque rating is also bumped up, which now gives 340Nm, 60Nm more than the stock, while top speed exceeds 250km/h.
A stainless steel sports exhaust system is also available as an added option. Different tail pipe designs can be installed thanks to the EC type approval. The exhaust system can be further upgraded with the use of a valve sports exhaust system or a cup exhaust system. The valve system can be approved through technical inspection via Maxi Tuner or with any other company, but the cup exhaust system is meant only for export or for the race track.
