JDM Tuesday Nights

It all started with a couple of informal car meets at the same venue among friends with JDM cars from different car groups just hanging out to enjoy cars and a good laugh or two.

Then came an invitation for a gathering from Senator JV Ejercito for a nostalgic get together in Greenhills providing a venue for enthusiasts to bring their cars and hang out at the G-Strip Parking Lot for the very first grand JDM Night. There was only one rule – No Supercars. The meet proved to be very successful attracting a good number of cars from old school to modern cars.

The gathering was put together by car enthusiasts Paolo Vibal and Ron Castro under the name ‘JDM Elite’ which held their second meet last night at the Crossroads Parking Lot in Bonifacio Global City. The hot and humid evening meet was once again well-received filling up half of the relatively large parking lot and some cars were unfortunately turned away by parking management because they couldn’t be accommodated for safety reasons.

JDM Nights could very well be the Philippine version of JDM Tuesdays in Southern California. An informal gathering of enthusiasts who just have one thing in common – appreciation for cars.

Vibal and Castro say that everyone is welcome to join the meets as long as they don’t plan to cause trouble and behave in an unruly manner.
